So much has changed these last few months with COVID lurking about. Again…we would like to pray that everyone stays safe. And…we pray for those that have lost loved ones, co-workers and friends to this nasty virus. Maybe one day…a bit of normalcy will return to our everyday lives.
We have our latest newsletter to share with you. The first page goes over different ways to back up your Apple device. Whether you use Time Machine or a third-party software/cloud service…backups are important. I can’t tell you how many times clients have come in with failed hard drives or lost/deleted data, damaged computers or ransomware and did NOT have some type of backup in place. Now, in many cases, we were able to recover the data…BUT…there are cases where data was not recoverable. A small investment in backups now…beats out on what one would need to spend to recover data in the future as well as the feeling of losing those important pictures, documents or videos that cannot be replaced.
On the second page of our newsletter…we go over webcam spying. The ways on how the spying works…as well as what one can do to prevent it. This, also, includes the cameras on your smartphones. There are certain things that can be do to make sure you are not being “watched” or “spied upon”.
